How to host a virtual Seder
Invite guests to join together via Facetime, Google Hangouts or Zoom. As we are taught to welcome the stranger during Passover, check in with friends and family to make sure that everyone has a Seder to “attend.” Here are some additional tips from Alma.com.
Haggadah Resources
If you don’t already have the Maxwell-House haggadah or another, there are many available for free download or purchase online.
- Haggadot.com: Create a custom Haggadah
- 30-Minute Seder: Available for purchase on Amazon or download at 30minuteseder.com
- PJ Library Family Haggadah
- JewBelong Haggadah
- Ask participants to bring special readings or poems of hope to your Seder
Additional Passover Resources
- PJ Library - links to activities for preschoolers
- Institute for Southern Jewish Life - includes a downloadable Haggadah, coloring sheets, songs and more
- URJ (Union for Reform Judaism) Passover Resources
- Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta
Food
If you are a great cook, now is a perfect time to pass on traditional family recipes by hosting cooking lessons online for other family members.
If you don’t want to cook for Seder, Alon’s, Kosher Gourmet, Bagelicious, Goldbergs, Dogwood Catering, Memphis Smokehouse and others are offering Passover catering.
Add some singing and dancing to your Seder. There are tons of wonderful videos on YouTube featuring Passover music, skits, comedy and more!
Tzedakah
Many in our community are suffering right now. Please consider donating food or funds to:
- TBT Kehillat Chesed/Caring Fund
- JF&CS food pantry (most needed items)
- Community Assistance Center (most needed items)
